Every Girl Depends on Every Family

As parents and guardians, volunteers and leaders, you know firsthand the positive impact of Girl Scouts. You’ve watched as girls in your lives develop the courage to try new things, the confidence to use their voices, and the character to live the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

To continue providing your Girl Scout and her 14,000 fellow members in Southern Illinois with the best in leadership programming, GSSI depends on the support and generosity of our incredible families.

It costs GSSI $292 per girl per year to keep our program costs low, properties maintained, and volunteer training sessions professionally delivered. While product sales and program fees cover most of the costs, the remaining $50 comes from caring donors like you. In addition, we provide $150,000 in financial assistance to girls in underserved communities to ensure no one is ever turned away from scouting due to financial reasons.

Why Become a Family Partner?

  • The Girl Scout membership fee you pay each year supports Girl Scouts of the USA’s national programs and advocacy - 100% of your additional Family Partnership gift stays right here in Southern Illinois to support girls in your community.
  • With your donation of $25 or more, your Girl Scout receives a commemorative Family Partnership patch. Donate by May 31, 2013, and you’ll also be entered to win tickets to Holiday World, the Gateway Grizzlies, the St. Louis Cardinals, or the Southern Illinois Miners!
  • The Troop and Service Unit raising the most money will receive a check totaling 20% of its Troop or Service Unit total donations.

Every Girl Scout, including the one you love the most, depends on the Family Partnership to help her achieve the incredible through Girl Scouting. Please join the Family Partnership by donating online now (note Family Partnership and your Troop number in the “add special instructions” field), downloading and mailing the donation form or making an additional donation to GSSI during Early Bird Registration this spring.
