Daisies - Ambassadors, get cozy with a blanket and a good book! Join
us for the Fireside Reading Patch Program, offered by the Girl Scouts
of Southern Illinois Council, and explore new vocabulary and book
genres during your winter break. This virtual program encourages Girl
Scouts to stay warm and cozy while expanding their reading horizons.
There's no cost to participate, but registration ends on December 30,
2024. Patch requirements must be completed by
January 5, 2025.

Grab any book-new or old-and join us in earning this fun patch over
the winter break! The Fireside Reading Patch Program is open to all
ages of Girl Scouts, and everyone can work at their own pace by
completing a reading log. You
don't need to submit the log to
earn the patch. Patches are available for purchase separately from our
Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Council Shop.
The
Fireside Reading Patch Program will run from November 18st- January
5th 2025. The shop link will be available at the beginning of the
program dates forordering patches online.
There is NO
word count or page limit on the books you choose to read for this
program. Patch Requirements- The breakdown for each level of the patch
program is as followed:
Daisies/ Brownies - Reading 10
books
Juniors/ Cadettes- Reading 12 Books or 400 pages
Seniors/ Ambassadors- Reading 15 Books or 600 pages
In addition
to the book reading, participants must complete 3 out of 7 additional
