Say Thanks to a Special Volunteer
Volunteers make the Girl Scout movement possible. Thanks to their generous commitment, girls have a community that encourages them to dream, explore, and thrive. We're so grateful for their service all year round, so let's use Volunteer Appreciation Month to celebrate all that they do! Consider sharing a gift, homemade treat, social media shout out, or thank you card with the special volunteers in your girl's life.
We have a customizable digital card to help get started! Help your Girl Scout share her special message and then send it to her supportive volunteer squad by text, social media, or email.
Your Girl Scout has accomplished a lot this year! She's helped her hometown, discovered new talents, and made forever friends. But there's so much more to come! Renew her membership now for another year of fun and adventure. Every member that renews by April 30 will receive an Early Bird t-shirt.
Plus, there are even more incentives for renewing during the Early Bird phase this spring. Girls will receive a custom patch designed by fellow Girl Scout Lydia K from Godfrey, as well as invitations to the Girl Scouts Take Over Water Parks events coming this summer!

In total, Girl Scouts in Southern Illinois sold 777,937 packages of cookies this year. Congratulations to all of the go-getters who conquered this cookie season with grit, determination, and a can-do spirit. Let's give a special shout out to the All-Star Cookie Entrepreneurs who earned the top spots in their service units.
This fall, take a trip with Girl Scouts to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL to train like an astronaut! Girls will build a model rocket, take part in a simulated space mission, and try out real astronaut training equipment! The trip will take place on November 10-12, 2023 and girls must be in 4th-8th grade at that time. Sign up by May 30!
Girl Scouts will spend about three hours on the water learning the ins and outs of canoeing while experiencing first-hand the beauty and excitement of a river ecosystem.

Girl Scouts are going to a baseball game in style! Come dressed in your uniform - there is a parade before the game and your troop will be announced over the loud speaker. After the game, we'll enjoy a movie and sleep under the stars in the stadium.
