Celebrate Black History Month! |
|
Black History Month (and every month!) is a time to acknowledge, celebrate, and commemorate the achievements of African Americans. But did you know that history is also happening here and now? From phenomenal Gold Award Girl Scouts making a lasting impact on their communities to bold Black women breaking records and shattering glass ceilings—Black history is happening all around us, and there are endless ways to celebrate and learn. Girl Scouts can start by downloading the free activity guide for the Black History Month Celebration "I'm a Girl Scout!" patch. |

There's Still Time to Go After Your Goals! |
|
Cookie Season has been a huge success so far! Thank you, volunteers, for the support, encouragement, and mentorship you have devoted to girls during this exciting time. Here are some important details as we enter the final weeks of the program:
Cupboard Orders
Please place orders to the cupboard by 11:50 p.m. on Sunday each week. This will ensure that the cupboards are stocked with the cookies you need. Great ways for girls to continue working towards their goals include walkabouts and cookie booths!
Race to the Rally + Rally Finale
Girls can still win bluetooth speakers! Each week through Feb. 24, every girl who collects 10 donations through Digital Cookie will be entered into a drawing to win a custom bluetooth speaker. During the final week of cookie season, there will be even more incentives and giveaways. See details.
Direct Shipping in Digital Cookie Runs Feb. 27-March 5
Starting Feb. 27, customers will be able to ship cookies through Digital Cookie. Direct shipped orders are the only way to receive the Raspberry Rally cookie this year. Also during this time, links to troops' Digital Cookie sites will be shown to customers through the Cookie Finder tool. If you haven't set up your troop link yet, here's how. A Troop Digital Cookie site will allow local customers to order from your troop without sharing personal information about girls. Digital Cookie will close on March 5 with the end of the Cookie Program.
Troop Rewards
Troop reward selections are due by Tuesday, March 7. Service units have through Thursday, March 9 to submit. |

Take the Lead at Our Volunteer Training Summit! |
|
Our Volunteer Training Summit is a unique opportunity for our Girl Scout community to come together for an exciting afternoon of learning and development. In addition, volunteers can meet some of our preferred partners, visit with council staff, and network with other volunteers in an expo-style fashion. Please note: While the Volunteer Training Summit follows Annual Meeting, attendees do not need to attend both events.
Come earn your Volunteer Training Summit patch, gather some free giveaways, and possibly win a prize in one of our drawings! The cost is $10 and space is limited. Secure your spot by registering today! |

World Thinking Day is February 22! |
|
Making the world a better place is Girl Scout Law, so it’s no surprise we have a holiday dedicated to doing just that. Each February 22, Girl Scouts and Girl Guides across 150 countries celebrate World Thinking Day. It’s a day of international friendship and a time to stand up for causes that could improve the lives of girls around the globe. And while the holiday itself comes in February, the World Thinking Day Award can be earned at any time of year. |
