Invite Friends to Girl Scouts During Our Council-Wide Registration Day on August 26
On August 26, Girl Scouts around Southern Illinois will host events to welcome new members, answer questions, and help celebrate our movement. It's a great time to renew your girl's membership if you haven't already, or to invite more friends to join your troop. We're looking forward to another year of discovery, fun, and friendship!
Girl Scouts grow in the great outdoors. Your girl can take part in two seasonal opportunities to get out and earn a patch. Your family can even enjoy some quality time together along the way!
From June 1-Sept. 10, Girl Scouts have been challenged to head outside and take the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge! Activities include making s'mores with friends, drawing a map of neighborhood trees, and sleeping under the stars.
Each year, Girl Scouts celebrate state parks during one fun and adventurous weekend! On September 9-10, head out to your favorite state park for a self-guided hike or join us for one of our council-sponsored programs.
Save the Date! Our United We Lead Gala Is September 9 in Collinsville.
Let's celebrate Girl Scouts together! Join us on Sept. 9 at Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville for dinner, drinks, and good company. Bid in our live and silent auctions, or enjoy many other ways to share your support. Current volunteers can even get a special code to take 25% the registration price. We can't wait to share an uplifting evening with the people who care so much about our mission.
Longtime Supporters Rick and Diane Siemer to Be Honored as Distinguished Community Leaders
Rick and Diane Siemer from Teutopolis will be honored with the Distinguished Community Leader Award at our 2023 United We Lead Gala. As innovators and community builders, the Siemers have been an integral part of Girl Scouting in Southern Illinois for nearly 35 years. Please join us in celebration of these incredible Girl Scout supporters!

Come out to Camp Torqua and spend a day doing water activities in the heat of summer! We will play water games like sponge toss, water balloons, toe diving, and a whole bunch more!
Get outdoors during Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend! We will learn all about the unique features at Fox Ridge State Park during a guided hike with staff there.
