Support Girls' Wellbeing By Taking Our Free Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
We are proud to offer a virtual training opportunity for adults (including girl members who are 18+) to earn their Youth Mental Health First Aid certification at no cost! The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth, reviews typical adolescent development, and teaches a five-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.
This blended learning course includes an online portion (approximately 2 hours), an instructor-led classroom skills session and an online evaluation to be taken after the instructor-led session. The instructor-led portion will be held via Zoom from 6-8 p.m. on the evenings of August 14-16. Participants must attend all three sessions to earn certification. Sign up by July 31!

Summer fun is still going strong, but we're already getting excited for back-to-troop time. August 26 will be a council-wide registration day! Girl Scouts around Southern Illinois will host events to welcome new members, answer questions, and help celebrate our mission in our local communities!

Come out to Camp Torqua and spend a day doing water activities in the heat of summer! We will play water games like sponge toss, water balloons, toe diving, and a whole bunch more!
Get outdoors during Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend! We will learn all about the unique features at Fox Ridge State Park during a guided hike with staff there.
