2023 September Family Newsletter

The Fall Product Program started on September 23! During this entrepreneurship program, Girl Scouts can sell gourmet nuts and candies, collectibles, and popular magazine subscriptions to friends and family. Not only will girls help boost funds for upcoming troop adventures, they also build essential skills linked to a lifetime of confidence and success.

Girls can create their very own avatar and record a personalized message inviting friends and family to share their support! Taking action will help her earn a personalized patch, as well as exciting girl rewards for hitting her goals. 

Fall Fest is going to be BIG on fall fun! The whole family is invited to join us at Camp Torqua for food trucks, hayrides, STEM experiments, crafts, archery, hiking, and more. We'll even have a costume contest!

Come at anytime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 4. Please note that while all Girl Scouts and their families are invited, all attendees must register for the event by October 23. 

Girl Scouts' founder, Juliette Gordon Low, has a birthday in October! In her honor, we are challenging Girl Scouts to complete a council-wide community service project that month - Birthday Bags!

This service project encourages Girl Scouts to create birthday bags stocked with goodies to have a fun celebration, then donate them to local food pantries. This kindness will help more families make birthday celebrations as special as they deserve to be. 

By being a Girl Scout, girls are part of a supportive group of people who uplift them every step of the way. The new Girl Scouts Mental Health patch program reminds them that they are never alone in facing challenges. Juniors-Ambassadors are invited to explore their emotions, express themselves, and build heathy habits. New training has been provided to help adults facilitate these important programs as well. 

Customers in our Council Shop will get FREE SHIPPING with every order over $50 starting in October! Watch your inbox the first week of October for an upcoming "Welcome to a New Year of Girl Scouting" email that includes a promotional code! 

Also, from October 16-31, customers who make a purchase of $25 or more will get a free patch in celebration of founder Juliette Gordon Low's birthday.
