Renew By June 10 for Special Incentives!
There's still so much more to explore with your Girl Scout crew! Our Spring Renewal season runs through June 10 - and there are lots of reasons to get the gang signed up for another year. All girl members who renew now will receive a custom patch. All girl and adult members will receive an invite to our Girl Scouts Take Over Water Parks events coming in August! Plus, there are special incentives for troops and service units, too.
Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois is proud to offer extensive opportunities for girls to explore science, technology, engineering, and math! Don't miss these programs coming up in summer and fall!
The Adult Archery training program has been updated to include gsLearn coursework in addition to the in-person session teaching practical skills. In addition, we will be adding a new element to the in-person training that volunteers can take home to help teach girls. The archery training will now have a cost of $5, and participants must register for the training before the event registration closes. Follow the button below to see more training updates.
Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois has so many dedicated volunteers in so many different roles, and we want to highlight and thank volunteers for the work they do in their specific role.
This month it’s time to give some love to our Troop Helpers! These are the adult volunteers who always come to meetings, day camps, overnight trips, field trips, and anything else the troop could dream up. Not only are they the most reliable MVPs when it comes to keeping ratio, they support the Troop Leader/s and girls whenever and wherever it’s needed. Without Troop Helpers, Troop Leaders and Service Units wouldn’t be able to do all the amazing things they have planned for the girls. Let’s give three cheers for the Troop Helpers who rally around their leaders and keep the fun going!
Extended Shop Hours on May 15
There is still one more day to visit our Council Shop during extended hours! We will be open Wednesday, May 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Recognition of Excellence on May 19 On Sunday, May 19, our Retail Team will be on location at DoubleTree by Hilton in Mt. Vernon for Recognition of Excellence from 1 to 5 p.m. Be sure to pick up a gift for your award winner!
All volunteers are welcome to shop, even if they are not attending the ceremony! Limited merchandise will be available. If you’d like to order from our complete inventory, pre-orders are encouraged.
