Earn a Fast Start to Troop Funds By Participating In Our Fall Product Program
Our Fall Product Program starts Sept. 21! This is a great opportunity for troops to earn funds at the start of a new Girl Scout year. Not only that, girls will build confidence and skills that last a lifetime! Follow the button below to find resources to help make this season a success.
The Great Elephant Stampede
We are kicking off the 2024 Fall Product Program with a new incentive! Each girl who qualifies will receive an embroidered sticker set in the mail and be entered to win one of two giant elephant plush animals! The drawing will be held on Oct. 30 and winners will be notified by email.
To qualify, Girl Scouts must reach these goals between Sept. 21-28:
Send 18 unique emails through M2
Upload a photo or video to M2
Use the "Share My Site" function in M2
Earn $100 in total sales through M2

GSofSI Board of Directors approved to increase the price of Girl Scout Cookies to $7 per box during the upcoming cookie season due to rising production costs. This change will ensure troops are able to finance their adventures and our council is able to support them. On Sept. 10, CEO Loretta Graham and Board Chair Linda Manley met with Service Unit Managers and Service Unit Cookie Managers to discuss upcoming changes in the Girl Scout Cookie Program. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois has so many dedicated volunteers in so many different roles, and we want to highlight and thank volunteers for the work they do in their specific role.
Service Unit Community Organizers help bring Girl Scouting to everyone in the community. These volunteers know of who to talk to, what to do to recruit new members, and how to help retain the current ones. They never shy away from an opportunity to forge a new partnership, reach out to any girl who may not have had the opportunity to hear about Girl Scouts, or help connect girls and adults to the right people.
New Leader Weekend - Last Call for Registration
The deadline to sign up for New Leader Weekend is Sept. 16! A variety of training sessions are available on Sept. 27-29 at Camp Torqua for volunteers who have three years of experience or less in a troop role.
Save the Date! Volunteer Training Summit 2025 Our Volunteer Training Summit will be held on March 29 at Camp Torqua. We will also offer free overnight stays on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 to registered attendees. Each night will also include two special volunteer appreciation events that will be open to all adult members. We will also offer some of our certification training courses on Sunday, March 30. Be sure to mark your calendars - it's sure to be an exciting weekend!
Time to Gear Up for the New Membership Year! Uniform Starter kits are available at the GSofSI Council Online Shop or in store at our location at #4 Ginger Creek Parkway in Glen Carbon. The starter kit includes sash, vest or tunic along with the Council ID and American Flag patches, Insignia Tab, Membership (level) Pin and World Trefoil Pin. Troop numbers will still need to be purchased separately. Plus, any purchase of $60 or more that includes a Uniform Starter kit will receive a free bag, a $15 value. This promotion is while supplies last, so be sure to get your orders in soon.
Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend
Girl Scouts Love State Parks Weekend will take place on Sept. 14–15. Place preorders now for the official patch through the GSofSI Council Online Shop and we will ship them to you after the event. Don’t forget - Girl Scouts can earn our council's patches for Beall Woods, Cache River, Fort Massac, Giant City and Pere Marquette too! These patches are also available through the Council Shop.
