Free Youth Mental Health Training Available for Day Camp Volunteers
Day Camp would not be possible without the dedication of amazing adult volunteers! To help support these incredible volunteers as they spend time with Girl Scouts in new ways, we want to share the opportunity to attend a special training course at no cost. Once the training certification requirements have been met for Day Camp Volunteers, the payee will be fully reimbursed for the initial training cost of $36.
Mental health continues to be an important topic in Girl Scouting and all of our communities. All Day Camp volunteers are invited to attend our Youth Mental Health First Aid training session on May 18 in Mt. Vernon. This session will help them be prepared to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders in adolescents.
