Girl Scouts pride themselves on helping their communities and people in need through any challenge that comes their way. For more than a century, Girl Scouts just like you have helped create positive change both locally and worldwide – from helping women exercise their right to vote in 1920, to launching Eco-Action programs during the 1970s, to showing senior citizens they were not alone during the recent pandemic. Girl Scouts always find ways to live by the Girl Scout Law and to make the world a better place. In honor of this legacy, we create Council-Wide Community Service Project patches that our Girl Scouts can earn.
Girl Scouts' founder, Juliette Gordon Low, has a birthday in October! In her honor, we are challenging Girl Scouts with a new council-wide community service project - Birthday Bags!
This service project encourages Girl Scouts to spread cheer by making it easier for everyone in the community to celebrate birthdays. A birthday is a big deal! It’s a day for looking forward to the upcoming year of exciting opportunities and celebrating all that you are. We want to share that excitement by letting people know we are thinking of them on their birthday.
This project will run from October 1-October 31, which is Juliette Gordon Low’s birthday. Make fun memories and create a meaningful impact through this service project!
This program is virtual and can be completed at your own pace. There is no physical meeting or cost for this program. This program is listed several times on our calendar. Please only register once.
